Dado (64), once known as a skilled barber, continues to reopen his old barbershop every day despite its slow collapse. Covered in unpaid bills and disconnection notices, the shop remains frozen in another time, yet Dado repeats the same routines without fail: sweeping the floor, sharpening his scissors, preparing coffee for two, and waiting for his wife Maria to come home. Across the street, a new barbershop is filled with customers, music, and life; Dado’s stays empty.

Then electricity suddenly cuts off. At first, it feels ordinary, a consequence of another unpaid bill, but inside the shop, memory begins to slip into the present. Familiar faces appear and vanish. A young barber from his past asks about Faustina. Notes written across the mirrors reveal years of trying to remember. Time shifts again: Martial Law returns through old radio broadcasts and a policeman arrives for a haircut, until one mistake turns the room into panic. Then suddenly the shop transforms into celebration—the dictatorship has ended, people cheer, and among them is a young Maria asking Dado to promise that he will never forget her. But she disappears before he can hold onto her.

The years continue collapsing into one another. His children appear and plead with him to close the shop.
